Granton, Edinburgh - new build project
Our clients at Granton, Edinburgh have dreamt about building their own, dream house for quite some time. From the initial meeting with the architect, we knew the challenges of the project: low u-values and heavy glazing. Client has opted in for our Timber Aluclad system, with a mixture of French Doors, Sliding Doors, Bifolding Doors, Casement Windows, Tilt & turn Windows and Fixed glazing. Front Doors are our Shuco designed system, fully aluminium, biometric, finger print recognition openable door.
Morningside, Edinburgh - extension project
Our client at Morningside Road, Edinburgh have been introduced to us via the main contractor. The objective was to provide maximum size of glass with the minimum framework visible internally. Original building was traditional, stone with the extension being very modern. We think cedar cladding selected by the client perfectly compliments our beautiful range of aluminium windows, aluminium bifolding doors and heritage style front doors.
Lanark Road, Edinburgh - new build project
Another self-build project we have completed. This project boasts 10 part bifolding door with a combined width of over 10 metres and extremely large triple glazing. All provided using our fully thermally broken aluminium frames to achieve high energy efficiency required to complete the project. Client has also opted in for one of our aluminium, double doors with stainless steel handles.
Colinton, Edinburgh - extension project
Further to the clients’ architects recommendation we have been appointed as a glazing contractor on this ongoing project. Upon our arrival on site we have been faced with the multiple challenges, which were not glazing related. Poor decisions made from the building contractor have resulted several delays in the installation process. At no extra charge, we have stored the goods for the client and helped project manage the remedial works to enable installation of the glazing and conclusion of the overall extension project. The client has divided this project onto two stages: initially we were only contracted to install aluminium rooflights, triple glazed, aluminium bifolding doors and PVC clerestory lights. Once the extension works have concluded, the client has appointed Vetro to provide a second stage – internal glazing work.
Morningside, Edinburgh - new build project
Our clients at Morningside Road, Edinburgh, have appointed us to install safety, glazing balustrades and Juliette Balconies at newly built block of flats. In total, we have provided over 100 linear metres of our Vetro Mount balustrade system. All glazing provided is 21.5mm laminated/toughened glass. The system provided is suitable for domestic and commercial applications.
Commercial Project - Alanda's Edinburgh and North Berwick
Vetro provides glazing solution to both – domestic and commercial clients. One of our commercial clients have contracted us to upgrade their shopfronts. We have provided our shopline system to help and showcase oustanding gelato they serve. The project included a custom made handle, made to look like customer’s logo – this was installed at a later stage and isn’t included within the gallery.
